Complex Needs Mental Health Facility, Coathill Hospital, Coatbridge

The new two storey facility at Coathill provides residential accommodation for 20 complex needs patients.  The facility enables patients to be admitted with mental health deterioration, disengagement and/or breakdown of community care plans of where there is a change to the risk of the level of supervision which is required.  The accommodation is provided over two floors and houses 12 single bedrooms all with ensuites.

Full traditional M&E Services including lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, power systems, ‘Specialist Systems’ were also included such as patient call, staff attach, induction loop system and door access systems.  All M&E systems within specific areas required anti-ligature requirements.

Build achieved a NEAT excellent rating.
