Lennoxtown Community Hub

Located in the heart of Lennoxtown on the town’s Main Street, the new building brings a wide range of services under one roof including Council Tax, benefits, licensing, housing, general Council enquiries, library services, leisure services, arts and events.  The central waiting areas are wrapped around, and form the basis of, a two storey void, which pierces through its height of the building and helps to enhance visual wayfinding links as well as views of the hills surrounding the village. There are also healthcare services – including GP surgeries – in conjunction with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Hawthorne Boyle carried out the M&E design services which included a Biomass Boiler / gas backup and the usual radiator/radiant panel heating and mechanical vent with heat recovery, access
control and CCTV, low voltage LED lighting system.
