Hawthorne Boyle header thin

Marmalade Hotel, Skye

A 22 bedroom extension and internal reconfiguration of the junction with the existing property at connection of extension. The Georgian building has a mix of rooms with high ceilings and many of its original features have been retained.

The extent of work required to the building fabric and its increased size meant that a new solution was required for the main plant.  We have a new Bi-Valent LPG boiler water heater system in tandem with a small C.H.P unit. The new plant will provide heating for the entire development, direct LPG fired domestic hot water for the substantial new extension and primary heat to the existing domestic hot water cylinders in the original hotel areas.

We carried out a full M&E Design Service including Part 6 energy compliance.
