Gourock Ropeworks Development

Reclamation project for derelict seven storey landmark building in Port Glasgow formerly to Gourock Ropeworks. Being Grade ‘A’ listed, great care was taken to restore the facade and converted the internal space to form 35 loft apartments with basic finishes to reflect the character of the building and allow purchasers to customise interior finishes to their own taste. The services are designed in a New York loft style and are exposed and visible throughout, including cabling on galvanised cable tray and copper pipework.
Two individually commissioned lifts service each apartment, with one formed within the existing lift shaft and the other within the new glass stair and lift well. Secured access provided to the community with local amenity lighting around the building perimeter.
