Computer Systems

The Company has invested heavily in computer technology for all sections of the office. Through a continual upgrading process the Company has a powerful combination of computer software packages for analysis, design, draughting, 3D modelling, costing and dynamic modelling and simulation.

Business Continuity is critical in today’s digital environment and we practice what we preach in utilising secure modern Fibre and encrypted Wireless IEEE 802.11 connectivity along with structured cabling throughout our office, with cloud email servers, physical RAID backup servers and secondary cloud backup servers this provides our business with full disaster recovery of all past and present project and management data.

We also employ effective cyber security procedures to reduces the risk of cyber attacks on our IT systems from the unauthorised exploitation of systems, networks and technologies. Our IT systems are verified annually by independent cyber security experts and we currently hold UK Government backed Cyber Essentials plus accreditation. In protecting our electronic information, we protect your investment in our expertise.

Our Engineering staff have direct and immediate access to centralised electronic file management software including secure remote access capabilities of our administration documents including scanned incoming/outgoing mail, project correspondences, specifications and specific project contract details. Similarly, central storage of all Project drawings allows secure and easy access by engineers to current plans for all projects using AutoCAD, Revit or PDF viewing software.

With Electrical Designs undertaken on Trimble ProDesign Software Suite which provides full electrical design and calculation capabilities to current BS7671  Editions and Mechanical designs utilising IES software or Hevecomp Mechanical design software for heating, DHCW and ventilation designs, we have the capability and expertise to cater to all MEP services designs and reporting requirements.

In recent years the Practice has committed to the development of its Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) software system and has the in-house capability to develop dynamic thermal models, daylight modelling and natural ventilation strategies. This system has also been augmented to provide the ability to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) and carry out SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) calculations, which has become an integral part of the new commercial building warrant process.

We are committed to ensuring that we keep at the forefront of technological advances, and assess our security, software and hardware requirements on an ongoing basis.
