An addition of new modern performance facilities and an extension to the Category ‘B’ Listed Paisley Arts Centre, Paisley.
A new redesigned public space at the front of the building removing the railings and new paving and seating. A small extension housing a new entrance and expanded bar area for pre-and post-show drinks, an improved main auditorium, with new retractable seating, and new back-of-house and performance facilities, including better sound and lighting, new kitchen, improved dressing rooms, and workshop space for rehearsals and other events.
The refurbished Arts Centre is provided with a complete replacement of the Mechanical and Electrical services installations including the following: –
• New condensing boiler plant and heating distribution mains / heat emitters.
• New centralised ventilation system providing fresh air to all occupied areas and incorporating high efficiency heat recovery.
• A full Building Energy Management System (BEMS) including energy monitoring and sub- metering.
• New hot and cold-water storage for domestic purposes including boosted cold-water service.
• All new general and feature energy efficient LED lighting.
• Full replacement of all electrical power installations.
• New stage lighting and audio system designed in conjunction with Theatre Consultant specialists.
